דרי קריאה, הינם חדרים מאווררים קלות, מוארים באופן מוזר, מלאים בספרים ומגזינים, וריח קל של עובש. חדרי קריאה אמורים להיות מקום שקט. אתה יכול לתפוס, כמעט, כל נשימה; לשמוע כל נייר שנהפך; לעיתים לחישת הספרנית או התעטשות בלתי צפויה. אנשים יושבים שם, שוקעים עמוקות, או מעמידים פנים שהם קוראים, אוספים מידע, כותבים מחקר. לעיתים הם כותבים הערות מלומדות; מנסים להרחיב את הידע שלהם באמצעות ספרים. אך האם אנחנו לומדים, בדרך זו, על החיים? האם דרך ישיבה בחדרי קריאה וקריאת הספרים, אנו אכן לומדים משהו בעל ערך על החיים? שם, במקום המשומר והשקט הזה, אפשר ליצור ניתן ליצור משהו חתרני ומסתורי, שעשוי לצוץ מתוך השקט הזה, ולהפתיע. כל אחד מאמני חדרי קריאה יוצר משהו, מתוך הסיטואציה הזו: משהו מסתורי, המסתתר מאחורי מראית העין השקטה.
'חדרי קריאה' הינו מושג בריטי. בתערוכה משתתפים אמנים בריטים וישראלים.
גלי טימן - אמנית קונספטואלית ואוצרת; בוגרת תואר שני, Central Saint Martins, לונדון - אוצרת תערוכה זו. טימן אצרה פרוייקטים בחללים אלטרנטיבים לצד חללים קונבנציונליים. את האמנים, המשתתפים ב'אלברט והנקודות: חדרי קריאה', פגשה בישראל ובמהלך שהותה באנגליה.

Albert and the Dots(*): Reading Rooms

Barely ventilated, strangely lit, full of books and magazines, and with that faint musty smell: reading rooms are supposed to be quiet, silent spaces. You can almost catch every breath, hear every page turn, occasionally youhear the librarian whisper or an unexpected sneeze. People sit there deeply engrossed, or pretending to read, gathering information and collating research. From time to time they write down scholarly notes, they try to expand their knowledge taking from the books. But why do we learn, in this way, about life? Only from sitting in reading rooms and reading books can we discover knowledge worth knowing? There, in this quiet and still place, you can create the subversive, something mysterious, that can pop up from the silence and surprise you.
Each artist involved in the Reading Rooms exhibition creates something that not only comes from this kind of institution, but represents the hidden side of it that is often overlooked
Reading rooms is a British phrase. The artists who are taking part in this project are Israeli and British..
Gali Timen - a conceptual artist and curator; graduate of MA course at Central Saint Martins, London. Gali curtated projects in alternative spaces alongside with projects in 'conventional' ones. Timen got to know the artists, who are taking part in 'Albert and the Dots: Reading Rooms' from Israel and from her staying periods in UK.

(*) Albert and the Dots (sounds like a name of a rock band, but...) is going to be a line of artistic projects (the first one is already run at Cafe Noah, Ahad Ha-Am St., Tel Aviv)
