Yael Amit
Yael was born in 1978. She lives and works in Tel Aviv as an artist and curator. She holds a bachelor from the Beit Berl College (2005) and an MFA in Fine Arts from the Haifa University (2010).
Besides being one of the founders and an active member of Alfred, she is the head of the Education Department in Ashdod Art Museum.
Her works deal with representations of space. She works with different techniques while engaging in relationships between painting, sculpture and installation.
In her works, she explores the relationship between drawing and sculpture. She is interested in representations of landscape, mapping and defining space.
Yael has been working for some time with burning candles.
